New Year's Resolution

It's around about that time again, when you start to look back on the year that has just past and resolve that for the next one you will a) be a vegetarian b) wear nice lingerie everyday; and c) try to stop bombarding bloggers with your problems. Despite having never successfully following through on a New Year's Resolution, yet each year I continue to set myself a goal that drives me, overflowing with assurance, into the next 365 days. More often than not I move on to a new fad after 5 days of intense spirituality/veganism. So for this year there was no resolution, resulting in utter victory. I don't doubt that next year will be much similar to this one.

The Bag

The new fashion season opens to us unlimited possibilities for experimentation for every sort of image. As women we understand that one of the finishing touches of an outfit is the handbag she chooses to use. In some case the handbag can either make or break the look you are trying to achieve. That is one of the reasons we find it necessary to have a wide range of this fashion a necessity so that we can change our bags as needed.

Below are a few of my favorites:

ALEXANDER WANG - Rose Gold Rocco
MARC JACOBS - Fluorescent Tweed
PHILLIP LIM - Embellished Eddie Bow

About Me

Emily Gill, an Australian based style-obsessed Hairdresser who is blogging to share my superficial obsessions with you. This will be a virtual diary of my life, work and inspiration. Being based in Adelaide many people are always quick to say Adelaide is much like a country town. But you don't have to look very far to see that fashion is all around us. It is so much more than the clothes we choose to put on our backs when each of us wake up in the morning. I think fashion is the most obvious form of self expression. I wish you all the best and I hope you enjoy following on the journey of fashion.

Inspirational Quotes

"I like fashion to go down the street, but i can't accept that it should originate there." Coco Chanel

"A Fashion is merely a form of ugliness so unbearable that we are compelled to alter it every six months." Oscar Wilde

"Fashion is what you adopt when you don't know who you are." Quentin Crisp

"The lamb began to follow the wolf in sheep's clothing." Aesop

"The expression a woman wears on her face is more important than the clothes she wears on her back." Dale Carneige

Jeffrey Campbell Shoes

I have always been a huge fan of Jeffrey Campbell shoes. One pair of Jeffrey's shoes are all you need to finish off any outfit as they are always the focal point of the look.
Jeffrey never fails to impress me with his outrageous designs and innovative approach on modern custom.

KEVIN MURPHY - Colour Bug

Finally, something that doesn't limit us with what we do with out hair. Being a Hairdresser there has been so many times in my career where I have wanted to do what I see on the models in the magazines and colour my hair purple or better yet pink. If only it wasn't such a permanent thing.
With Kevin Murphy creating the concept of 'Colour Bug' now this is no longer just a dream. Colour Bug enables you to have dramatic hair colour for as long as you like. Completely removing itself from ones hair with a simple wash. For all of those who are sitting at home thinking this product only benefits blondes as most of these things do, guess again. This product works on the darkest of hair colours, take my word for it my hair is black.
Have fun with this product guys it is absolutely fantastic!
